A Computer Science background, applied end to end

I am a Full Stack Developer with a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Springfield, completed with a 4.0 GPA, and more than four years of experience building web applications from front-end through to database.

My work spans both halves of the stack. On the front end that has meant React, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 — responsive, user-friendly pages and cross-browser fixes across production projects. On the back end it has meant Node.js and REST APIs, alongside Java, C#/.NET and Python, with database work in Oracle SQL, SQL, MongoDB and Supabase (PostgreSQL).

Two things sit alongside the engineering. The first is design: I studied User Experience Design at graduate level and spent four years freelancing in visual design and branding, which means I can take a feature from wireframe to shipped interface rather than waiting on a hand-off. The second is security: my graduate focus areas included Cybersecurity, with coursework in Security Testing Essentials and Computer Security covering vulnerability assessment, system hardening, and ethical testing practice.

I have led a four-person team through a full development lifecycle, mentored junior developers, and contributed to code reviews in agile environments. I care about software that is secure, well-built, and genuinely easy to use.
